Have you gotten enough pumpkin spice chai lattes yet? Yeah, me neither. For National Pumpkin Day, I thought I’d share some of my all time favorite pumpkin recipes, along with a few recipes I’m dying to try from friends and other bloggers.
These Pumpkin Scones are tender and bursting with warm spices. They stay moist for days, and you sort of can’t stop eating them.
Caramel Pumpkin Cheesecake is an elegant alternative to pumpkin pie, and in my opinion, tastes even better. Class up your holiday table with this baby.
Paula Deen’s Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cake was one of the first pumpkin desserts I ever made, way back when I first started trying my hand at this whole cooking thing. It’s so simple and completely delicious.
My mom used to make this Double-Layer Pumpkin Pie. It’s much sweeter than regular pumpkin pie, which is probably why I loved it so much when I was younger. It’s still great to this day.
I’ve also made Paula Deen’s Pumpkin Bars, which are basically cake, several times. When I lived in Taiwan, I had to make it as a double layer 9-inch cake. It was insanely good.
There are plenty of pumpkin recipes I still have on my list to try. The first is these Pumpkin Spice Gooey Bars from Nel’s Nook. She made my favorite dessert at the Duncan Hines event, so I’m confident these will be crazy good.
Another beautiful little seasonal treat is called Better Than Pumpkin Pie from Digital Era Mom. It’s got pudding in it, so I’m already in love.
If you need your pumpkin to be portable, or you need an excuse to chow down in the morning, try these Pumpkin Streusel Muffins from Flavor Mosaic. There’s streusel AND white chocolate glaze. Winning!
These Salted Caramel Swirled Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars from Averie Cooks sound pretty fantastic and look absolutely beautiful. I must try these.
It doesn’t have to be all dessert, all the time. I’m intrigued by this Pork, Pumpkin, and Black Bean Chili from Tracy’s Culinary Adventures. It sounds so warm and cozy.
This Pumpkin, Chocolate, and Brie Grilled Cheese from Two Peas & Their Pod basically blew my mind. I so hope I can find pumpkin butter on my island.
And lastly, because it still feels like 91 degrees here today, I really need these Chocolate Pumpkin Ice Cream Sandwiches also from Two Peas & Their Pod. This lady is speaking my language.
I hope you’re like me, and you can never get enough pumpkin. Happy cooking!
