    Apple Brandy Granita

Cool, crisp, and just a little bit boozy, this apple brandy granita is the perfect grown-up treat for autumn gatherings. With apple juice and a splash of brandy, it captures those fall flavors perfectly.

    Apple Brandy Granita with text

I've had the good fortune to live in several different places around the world, each with their own charms and magick. And while September in Scotland pretty much always brings sweater weather, it can still be a pretty sweaty month in many of the other places that I've lived.

So bringing out fall flavors on September 1st seems cute and cozy, but many of us are still looking for something cool and refreshing. You might need an iced PSL or cinnamon ice cream because that last thing you want is to be stifled by scarves and boots when the sun is still blazing. You've gotta do what works for you, regardless of what the internet trends may be saying.

What makes this Apple Brandy Granita so awesome?

This Apple Brandy Granita is the perfect treat to cool you off in the September sun, should you be lucky enough to have it. And if it's already cold where you live, just put on a sweater because this is tasty enough to risk it.

Made with sweet apple juice, a touch of pineapple juice for acidity, and a splash of brandy, this icy treat is part dessert, part drink, depending on how long you want to take to consume it. You could certainly serve it with a spoon and eat it like shave ice. What I love to do is put it in a glass with a straw and sip it slowly as it melts like a boozy slushy. As with all things in life, do what makes you happy.

    Magical Properties of Apples

Apples carry a deeply feminine, receptive energy. Ruled by the element of water as well as the Moon and Venus, apples can bring healing, love, and vitality. With their seeds in the shape of a five pointed star hidden inside, they have also had a long time association with witchcraft.
