Awesome in June

Hey, kids. Did you do anything awesome in June? I’m pretty sure I’ve come unstuck in time because I can barely comprehend that another month has passed. Finding something awesome is all in how you look at life. Let’s get into it.

Awesome in June

I think I’ve spent this entire month focused on turning my blog into a business. I don’t think I finished any new books or watched any cool movies. I’ve barely turned on my TV to watch anything other than news. The news did seem to rule everyone’s life in the first half of the month. And so much is still happening.

At the time of writing, Breonna Taylor’s killers still have not been charged. You can sign a petition and donate if you want to help change this. Your voice is important.

It’s hard to think of anything more awesome than keeping the momentum going for the Black Lives Matter movement. This is crucial work, and we simply cannot give up until justice is served and equality is reached.

One idea I had this month was to promote a different charity or community organisation each month in this series. If you know of an organisation that’s doing truly awesome work in your community, let me know in the comments or send me an email. I can help share their message.

Awesome internet food

We do have to keep eating, though, so here’s some of the most awesome food from the internet this month.

Sign me up for all the Brownie Ice Cream Sandwiches.

I could probably eat a whole bucket of this Pasta al Limone.

Guys, there are tater tots in these Breakfast Enchiladas. I’m so stoked.

Strawberry Soju Slushie | How to be Awesome on $20 a Day

Your favorite Awesome on 20 recipes this month were Classic Crunchy Peanut Butter Cookies, Strawberry Soju Slushie, and Buffalo Chicken Pinwheels. I approve this message.

I’m trying to figure out how to not let this socially distanced summer slip through my fingers. What are your plans for the summer? Whatever you’re doing, I hope you make it awesome.
