March has blown through in its usual tumultuous fashion. But it's brought with it hopes of future freedoms. Let's find what's awesome.
We've marked so many tragedies and somber anniversaries this month, it can feel almost too heavy. I also went back to work in school around the middle of the month, and I've been so busy and so tired, I've barely had time to process it all. The start of spring always brings big changes, and this year, they're coming in hard and fast. All we can do is hold on.
One perk to Covid (I mean, we're really digging deep here) is that we got Oscar nominations this month. I've watched One Night in Miami, Soul, and News of the World, among others. These three have stuck with me the most. I didn't get the overwhelming flood of emotions that other people reported with Soul, but I just keep thinking about it. News of the World is one of those films that's surprisingly gripping given the simplicity of the plot. They're all streaming, so get cozy and get watching.
Awesome Internet Food
I've hardly been able to remember what day of the week it is, let alone keep up with all the amazing recipes being posted this month, but here's a few things that caught my eye. When I get a chance to catch my breath, I'm going to try some of these out.
These Pizza Pancakes from The Candid Appetite are blowing my mind, as usual. Give me all the pepperoni.
I pretty much never turn down a bowl of Loaded Baked Potato Soup, and this one from My Baking Addiction looks extra creamy dreamy.
When the sun is being a tease, I bet these Easy Lemon Bars from Salt & Baker would be sure to bring the joy.
Your favorite recipes this month were Whipped Ricotta, Black Pudding Hash, and a Brown Elephant Cocktail. There was also a lot of interest in Recipes to Celebrate Ostara and the February Five Day Meal Plan. Everything on those lists would still be awesome for Easter and beyond.
So that's what's awesome in March. April is full of promise, not to mention a two week break, so it's all uphill from here, right? We'll take each day as it comes and be grateful for every day of our precious lives. It's gonna be awesome.
