Staying the same is boring, decidedly unawesome. While sometimes we can certainly develop an unhealthy obsession with perpetual growth, especially when it comes to economics, I definitely believe that the desire to change and evolve is integral to the human experience.
Often, we're so caught up in our day to day tasks and our anxieties about the future that we neglect to look back and see how far we've come. I work with kids from the ages of 12-18, so I literally get to see them grow up before my eyes. As adults, our bodies and minds don't change quite as drastically, so we often fail to acknowledge our own growth. One day melts into the next, then decades have passed and you never thanked yourself for your own perseverance, resilience, and dedication to what mattered most.
We're all growing and evolving, whether we know it or not. The questions is, do you want to let it just happen to you, or do you want to do it mindfully and with real purpose? Are you ready to actively make your life even a little bit more awesome? Maybe I'm just an overachiever, but I'm all for taking one more step towards your own personal definition of greatness every day.
How is Awesome on 20 evolving?
How to Be Awesome on $20 a Day has slowly evolved over time. It has always been and will continue to be a reflection of my own personal evolution. Some things will always remain the same. My love for cheese and chocolate will never cease. Comfort food makes my heart come alive, and I plan to keep delivering it. But I'm ready to deliver some of the other things that light me up.
The Podcast
In the coming weeks, I'll be launching the How to Be Awesome Podcast. I hope to share comforting food and conversations for living your most awesome life. I'll be joined by a rotating cast of friends to talk about ridiculously awesome recipes, along with some food for your soul. We'll share ideas about modern spirituality, wellbeing, and human connection. I really hope you'll give it a listen, but I'm totally used to talking to myself, so if you don't, that's fine, too.
Virtual Assistant Services
I've also had another facet of my business slowly simmering on the backburner, and this summer might be the perfect time to turn up the heat. I'm offering virtual assistant services to creative solopreneurs and small business owners. My particular specialty is in content and copy writing and editing, but I'm open to helping with almost any type of admin work.
I love seeing creative people make a living putting their work out into the world. If I can help them be more successful, that feels really awesome. I hope to have a dedicated page on this site very soon. If you or someone you know needs a little help with your business, get in touch. I'll see if I can help.
Patreon
I'm also hoping to evolve a new way that you can directly support my work if that's something that feels right for you. I will continue to offer high quality free content here and on the podcast, but if you feel you get a lot of value from what I offer, you might want to consider supporting me through Patreon. I'll be in touch again soon with some options.
How are you evolving?
Evolution can be a slow process, but every now and then we take major leaps forward. I'm ready for one of those. Are you? The time just feels so right. What are you evolving into right now? How are you planning to consciously make your life a little more awesome? Tell me all about it in the comments.
Thank you so much for being here and supporting my writing and content. It means so much to me. I'm thrilled that we get to keep growing and evolving together. Don't forget to be awesome.
