Units Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose or plain flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2-1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons Biscoff spread, melted

  1. Plug in your waffle iron and preheat it to high.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder and whisk gently to combine.
  3. In another bowl or a measuring jug, add milk, egg, melted butter, vanilla, and melted Biscoff. Whisk to combine.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and gently and quickly fold them together. A few little lumps is fine.
  5. Scoop about 1/2 cup of batter onto your hot waffle iron, and bake for about 5 minutes. Each machine is a little bit different, so use the amount of batter and timing that you know works. Your waffles should be golden brown and crisp on the outside.
  6. Serve immediately or keep warm on a wire rack in a warm oven. Serve with butter, Biscoff spread, and whatever else your heart desires.
