This Blue Cheese Fondue is bursting with complex flavor. With a smooth, velvety texture, it's ideal for dipping crunchy garlic bread. It's basically one big umami bomb, and it's awesome.

Cultures who share food really have something unique going on energetically. Okay, technically it may not be the most hygeinic, but the spirit of communion can't be denied. When everyone has their own sterile, separate plate, there's no opportunity to bump into anyone. You almost don't even have to make eye contact with the people at the table.

When you're all sitting around a warm bowl of dip or fondue or other communal food, you can't avoid the people you're eating with. There's more conversation, more laughter, more good vibes generated. The next time you're sharing a snack or a meal, see if there's a way to serve it that will bring everyone together. Maybe give everyone the opportunity to wash their hands first, but just see what bringing people closer together around something delicious can create.

What makes this Blue Cheese Fondue so awesome?

This blue cheese fondue is made with your favorite pungent cheese. You could go with Gorgonzola, Stilton, Roquefort, whatever you can get your hands on. If you're making this for a party, maybe get yourself down to the local cheesemonger and pick something made with love in your community. Or buy the cheapest blue cheese you can find if that's what you need to do. It will still be awesome.

This recipe has very few ingredients. I made mine on the stove and then just served it warm in a bowl, but if you have a fondue pot, this would be a great time to dust it off. You could also make a big batch for a party and put it in your slow cooker to keep it warm. Serve it with crusty bread, maybe toasted with garlic butter and Parmesan cheese. Or this Garlic Herb Bread would be awesome.

    Magical Properties of Cheese

Cheese has been part of human culture possibly as far back as 6000 BCE, so of course, it's surrounded by myth and magic. Cheese draws in positive energy and symbolises the coming together of disparate elements. The legend of cheese giving you nightmares is apparently also tied to witches, where a hag would lure you from your bed with a piece of cheese to use you as a beast of burden while you slept. This was known as being hag-ridden.
