    Crystals for Kitchen Witches

Bring a bit of extra magick to your kitchen with these seven powerful crystals for kitchen witches to heighten the energy of your home and hearth. After all, we draw energy from more than just food.

Crystals for Kitchen Witches with amethyst and lavender on a book

As a kitchen witch, I most commonly work with food, herbs, oils, and fire to draw on the energy of the elements and manifest my desires. I'm not a serious crystal witch, but even I can't resist those shiny rocks from time to time. I know a lot of witches are attracted to crystals, but you may not be sure which crystals would be best to incorporate into your kitchen magick.

So I'm sharing seven easy to find crystals that you can place around your kitchen to help draw positive energy into your kitchen and your entire home. Crystals eminate their energy throughout a space, so everyone who enters your home can benefit from their vibration.

My Top 7 Crystals for Kitchen Witches

    Salt

Yes, salt is a crystal. The bigger the pieces of salt, the more obvious it becomes. And salt is powerfully magical. It's one of the most common ingredients for protection. Many cooks keep a cellar of salt on their countertop. You can charge yours with protective intentions. You can also leave small bowls of salt around your kitchen or home to absorb negative energy. Replace them before each new moon to help keep the energy clear.

    Sugar

Another crystal we probably don't think about, sugar can obviously bring the energy of sweetness into your home. It's great for attraction as well. You may not want to leave open containers of sugar in your home as it may attract unwanted energy in the form of ants and other insects. You could add it to spell jars along with other herbs to keep on your kitchen altar. Any home is more pleasant when we're all a bit sweeter to each other.

    Selenite

This is known as a powerful charging crystal. I keep a selenite disc on my kitchen altar. This is the main work space in my kitchen, so the tools that I use regularly in my kitchen are constantly being charged by selenite energy. This includes my salt celler, pepper grinder, oil bottle, and utensils. It keeps all my tools charged and ready to bring me good vibrations. Keep in mind that selenite is water soluble, so you'll want to move it out of the way when cleaning if its on your kitchen counter.

    Amethyst

This is my favorite crystal overall. It helps you connect with your spirituality and has a very gentle, peaceful energy. I often think of it as the lavender of crystals. If you want your kitchen to be a place of peace and spiritual connection, place a piece of amethyst up high in the four corners of the room to create a grid of positive energy.

    Green Aventurine

This is a great crystal for abundance, and I always want my kitchen to feel like there's enough for everyone. Green aventurine will draw in the abundance you need to keep your fridge full and your pantry stocked. It's also associated with the heart chakra, so it can draw in an abundance of loving energy as well.

    Obsidian

Obsidian feels to me like a black hole for negativity. It's depths seem endless, so I imagine it being able to absorb any negativity that might be lingering in my home. Cooking and keeping a house clean and comfortable can be stressful work sometimes. Obsidian can help clear away any frustrations. Maybe keep a small stone with your cleaning products. You can hold onto it on those days when you can't bear to wash one more dish and let it soak up all your energetic grime.

    Carnelian

The kitchen used to be centered around a large hearth where food was cooked over an open fire. I think a bit of fire energy is important in a kitchen. Carnelian can bring the element of fire into your kitchen while also helping you with your motivation. On those days when you know you'd really feel better if you ate a home cooked meal rather than ordering takeaway, call on carnelian to bring your personal fire back to life. It can give you the get up and go that you need to get everything done around your house.

I hope you've gotten some new ideas about how you can use crystals as part of your kitchen witchcraft. Share your kitchen altar with me on Instagram. Leave a comment and let me know your favorite crystals for kitchen witches. I'd love to hear from you.
