I'm sharing a December 5 Day Meal Plan complete with five warming and simple dinner ideas, plus a breakfast, dessert, and drink to help make your weekend awesome. We still have to eat until Christmas, so let's get into it.

This month is always so strange. The anticipation of Christmas, and for me my birthday, seems to stretch on for ages. This year, there will be no holiday parties, Christmas markets, or work nights out, so it's dinner at home as much as possible. But we can't just eat cookies, can we? Let's figure it out.
What's for dinner?

Meatless Monday almost always means cheese and pasta for me. This Sweet Potato Mac & Cheese has an actual vegetable mixed in for once, so it's all fine.

I considered making every day soup, but I didn't think you'd let me get away with it. A bowl of this Ham & Potato Soup will warm you right to your bones. I can't get enough.

Lighten things up with Turkey Meatballs. Serve them with pasta, couscous, or as a sandwich. So many options.

This Garlic & Herb Baked Chicken is the ultimate weeknight mom food. Use flavored cream cheese and buttery crackers to add tons of flavor. Serve with steamed veg because we're not complete children. Sort of.

Ease into your weekend with a super simple Slow Cooker Meatloaf. I like to serve this with mashed potatoes. Old-fashioned comfort food will get us through the dark days of winter.
What else are we eating?

Croissant French Toast with Maple Bacon Whipped Cream is pretty much what every winter weekend should be like. Indulgent, comforting, and so simple.

Okay, yes, we do need cookies in our lives. These Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies are an irresistible twist on a classic recipe. Use your favorite mint-infused chocolate to make your Christmas cookie situation a little bit more awesome.

This Ginger Pomegranate Cocktail is what I want to drink all month. It's not particularly strong, which is good because you'll want to keep drinking it forever.
I hope you eat well every day this month. We've come a long way this year, so we deserve to eat well and be as merry as we possibly can.
If you make any of these recipes, I'd love to see your creation. Tag me on Instagram and hashtag your photo #awesomeon20 so I can see what you've made.
