We're digging in to separating the art from this artist this week on The How to Be Awesome Podcast. What do you do when a creation you love was made by a creator you don't even like? Let's get into it.
We proudly host our podcast with Buzzsprout.
Louise made a Spanish Chicken & Chorizo Bake for Litha with potatoes from Renee's husband's garden, while Renee was cooking up Creamy Garlic Spinach Dip. She also left the feta out of her Strawberry Poppy Seed Salad and didn't realize it until a week later. It was still awesome.
Then they're discussing whether or not we can separate the art from the artist. Can you stil enjoy a much loved creation even if the creator turns out to be not so awesome? They discuss creators like J.K. Rowling, Johnny Depp, Michael Jackson and more. If you do hand over your money for a controversial creation, can you offset that energy in another way? Or do you just have to abandon the books, films, music, and art you once loved?
Then Renee is releasing a lak of clarity by putting out a community survey to get guidance for her next steps directly from her audience. Louise is plagued by pollen and addicted to her nasal spray. Then Renee recommends a movie with a badly behaved star, and Louise spends some wholesome family time with her little brother.
