Pour hot chocolate sauce on ice cream, cheesecake, pancakes, whatever. You might want to pour it straight into your mouth. It's that awesome.
You'd think living life with joyful abandon would be a lot easier than it actually is. And yet somehow, we easily seem to allow ourselves to become distracted from the things that bring us joy. Or worse, we feel guilty or unworthy of having or doing things just because they make us happy.
We've been told we have to earn our pleasure, that indulgence must wait. And we certainly can't have more than our fair share of happiness, as if somehow the world could run out. What if we just said no to that idea? What if we let ourselves be the most happy we could be in any given moment? I wonder what would happen.
What makes this Hot Chocolate Sauce so awesome?
I definitely think adding some Hot Chocolate Sauce to your life will help to up the pleasure factor of just about anything. Yeah sure, ice cream is great, but ice cream gently melting underneath a warm layer of liquid chocolate is so much better. This sauce is simple to make and far better than anything store bought.
The sauce will be as good as the chocolate you use. Even if you're using inexpensive chocolate, though, it will still be lovely. But if you wanted to just bump up the pleasure factor a bit further, you could melt in a more premium chocolate here. You could also use an infused chocolate if you wanted to add another flavor. This is obviously great on ice cream, but you could also pour it over cheesecake, waffles, or anything that could take a bit of deep sweetness.
Magical Properties of Chocolate
Chocolate is deeply sensual and often associated with romance, passion, and pleasure. In fact, some Spanish women were accused during the Inquisiton of using chocolate to cast love spells. Chocolate has been found to contain a stimulant similar to those released during sex, so those love spells may have worked pretty well. Add a dash of cinnamon and cardamom to your hot chocolate and share a cup with a lover before bed. (Source: Element Encyclopedia of 5000 Spells by Judika Illes)

Tips for making Hot Chocolate Sauce
This Hot Chocolate Sauce comes together easily. You will need a bit of patience, though, as it needs to be cooked over low heat. All you need to do is add chopped chocolate or chocolate chips and heavy or double cream to a small saucepan. We'll also add a bit of Kahlua (or coffee if you prefer) and some golden syrup or light corn syrup for a hint of sweetness.
Let this all cook slowly over very low heat, stirring frequently. When your chocolate is more melted, you can switch to a whisk to make it nice and smooth. Serve this warm and store any leftovers in the fridge. Then just reheat it in the microwave, heating for no more than 30 seconds at a time. Give it a stir, and if it's not quite warm enough, you can put it back in for another 30 seconds max. The less sauce you have, the less heat you need.
You deserve to have everything be as awesome as possible. Go ahead and pour on the hot chocolate sauce. You're in control of your happiness.
