I love the energetic blend of sweet and spicy. As a flavor combo, its borderline addictive, endlessly drawing me in for another bite. But it's also a great place to live magically. The world needs us to be sweet, to show kindness, compassion and hospitality. But it also needs us to have a spicy side, one that isn't afraid to speak truth to power and flare up against oppression.

In spellwork, a blend of sweet and spicy ingredients can bring quick results, attracting your desires to you almost effortlessly. It's a combination that's alluring and smooth and oh so powerful. Consider working with these energies in your own spiritual practice and see how things begin to shift in your life.

What makes Hot Honey Sauce so awesome?

This Hot Honey Sauce is made quickly and easily on the stovetop, which is awesome because you're going to want to eat it all the time. It would be great drizzled over crispy chicken or shrimp or poured onto a pulled pork sandwich. You could devour a pile of potato wedges dipped in this sticky sauce, or even drizzle it onto roasted veggies.

It's thick and sweet and, when you make it at home, exactly as spicy as you like. Adjust the amount of chili until you get your perfect heat level. Sure, you could make up a big batch of this to keep in the fridge, but a little bit goes a long way. I prefer to make small batches a bit more frequently to keep it fresh. As long as you have the basic ingredients on hand, which are likely to be in your cupboard already, you can whip this up in just a few minutes.

    Magical Properties of Honey

Honey spells are a staple of modern witchcraft. Use to boost the attraction power of any spell, it's commonly found in workings for love and romance. It's association with bees also gives it a deeply spiritual vibe. Use honey in spells to call in spirituality, purification, health, harmony, love, sex, happiness, and wisdom. Ingredients

Here's everything you'll need to make this dish. The full details are in the recipe card below.

    • Honey - use your favorite type but keep in mind that subtleties of flavor will be overpowered by the spices
    • Hot sauce - your favorite variety
    • Cayenne
    • Chipotle paste - or you could use chipotle chili powder
    • Garlic granules - or powder
    • Onion granules - or powder
    • Salt

All you'll need for this are some measuring cups and spoons, a small saucepan, and a stirring spoon. Plus you'll want to have a sealable jar or container to store any leftovers.

Tips for making Hot Honey Sauce

This is far from rocket science. In fact, it's barely cooking. All you'll need to do is add all the ingredients to a small saucepan over low heat. Stir them together and let them warm gently. If you want a sticky, thicker sauce, you can bring it to a bubble for a few minutes. I left my pot over low heat for about five minutes.

One pro tip. Spray the cup you're going to measure the honey in with a little bit of oil. This will help the honey pour out more easily so you waste less.

Them is awesome eaten warm, though still delicious when cold. Store any leftovers in an air tight container in the fridge.
