• Sugar - granulated sugar is good and scrubby
• Coconut oil
• Grape seed oil - other carrier oils, or even good olive oil would also work if you have something different on hand
• Lavender essential oil
• Lavender buds - not essential but very pretty and good for scrubbing

Tips for making Lavender Sugar Scrub

This is a basic dump and stir situation. You can also easily scale this recipe up if you want to make a big patch and divide it into smaller jars to give as gifts. Obviously, you'll want your coconut oil to be melted when you mix this.

Also, be sure your lavender is organic. I'm usually not strict about this, but you don't want to be rubbing pesticides into your skin. Lavender that's sold for purely decorative purposes and not intended for consumption may have lots of nasty chemicals. As this is a flower often used in skincare, tea, and baking, it's pretty easy to get your hands on lavender buds that are safe for consumption.
