How can you make your life easier? This is a question I ask myself quite a lot, as I have a tendency to overcomplicate things. Some part of my subconscious believes that the more trouble I go to , the harder something is to achieve, the more work that goes into it, the more I will be loved. And sometimes, going to the extra effort is truly fun or worth the reward. If going to the extra effort is a bonus for me, I'll still do it, but otherwise, I try to scale back.

Because I've learned that most of the time, other people don't actually notice, appreciate, or even care about the amount of effort you put into something. They're just as satisfied with the simple thing as they are with the hard thing, and they don't bother to consider what it took you to make it happen. So when I can make something that is both simple and super awesome, everyone wins. I have more time to enjoy my life, and we all get something wonderful and delicious.

What makes No-Churn Nutella Ice Cream so awesome?

Enter No-Churn Nutella Ice Cream. This is so easy to make, you could easily let the kids do it. You don't need any special equipment or hours upon hours of cooling and freezing time. No rock salt. No endless churning. Just three simple ingrdients, a bit of mixing, and about 8 hours in the freezer. Spend 10 minutes in the morning, and you have delicious ice cream that night.

This Nutella version mixes in your favorite chocolate hazelnut spread for a deep, nutty chocolate flavor. This is so delicious on its own in a dish or a cone, but it also makes for a great sundae with some melty Nutella drizzled over and a geneous topping of whipped cream and chopped hazelnuts. No need to trek down to the local gelato place. All you have to do is open your very own freezer. It's so delish.

    Magical Properties of Hazel

Various parts of the hazel tree have been used in witchcraft for ages, so those ground up hazelnuts in your chocolate spread definitely hold magical properties. This tree and its nuts bring wisdom, inspiration, and protection. Hazel is ruled by the planet Mercury and the element of air. It's sacred to a variety of deities including Artemis, Diana, Hecate, Lugh, Mercury, and Thor. (Source The Hearth Witch's Compendium by Anna Franklin)

Tips for making No-Churn Nutella Ice Cream

This is so ridiculously easy. All you have to do is whip your heavy cream to soft peaks. You want it to hold its shape but not bee too stiff, otherwise, it will be tricky to incorporate. Don't worry about it being perfect, though. It will still be delicious with a few streaks of cream. You can do this with an electric mixer or by hand, but it will take a while with just a whisk.

Then you'll gently fold in the condensed milk and about half a cup of Nutella. You can add more or less depending on how intense you want the flavor to be. Room temperature spread is fine. Just use your rubber spatula to gently bring the cream up from the bottom of the bowl and fold it over itself repeatedly. Spin the bowl and keep folding until you have a cohesive mixture. Then transfer this to a container with a tight-fitting lid and freeze it for at least 8 hours.

Then all that's left to do is scoop and enjoy!

It's time to do less and still be awesome. Make this No-Churn Nutella Ice Cream, and you'll be deeply satisfied.

    Ingredients

    Scale
    • 2 cups heavy cream or double cream
    • 1 14 can sweetened condensed milk
    • ½ cup Nutella or chocolate hazelnut spread

    Instructions

    1. In a large mixing bowl, use the whisk attachment on your electric mixer to whip your cream to medium peaks. Just a bit droopy.
    2. Get rid of your mixer and pour your sweetened condensed milk into the whipped cream, then add the Nutella. Gently fold your ingredients together until combined. A few streaks never hurt anything.
    3. Pour your mixture into an air-tight container, put it in the freezer, and allow it to freeze for at least 8 hours.
