Pepperoni Pizza Roll-Ups

Pepperoni Pizza Roll-Ups make totally awesome after-school snacks or game day party food. Made with all store-bought ingredients, the kids can make them on their own. Pepperoni and string cheese are wrapped in buttery, flaky pastry and baked until gooey. It's almost too awesome.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tube crescent roll or croissant dough OR a sheet of frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 24-32 slices pepperoni
  • 4 string cheeses, cut in half
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pizza sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375F (190 C) for crescent rolls or 400 F (200 C) for puff pastry and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. If using crescent roll or croissant dough, carefully unroll it and separate the triangles. You'll probably have 6-8 pieces. If using puff pastry, carefully unroll it and cut it into 8 triangles. I started by cutting it into 4 rectangles and then cutting each triangle diagonally.
  3. Arrange four slices of pepperoni onto each triangle. Place a half of a string cheese at the short end of each triangle. Sprinkle garlic powder over each triangle.
  4. Roll up your cheese and pepperoni inside the dough. You can fold over any flaps on the end. Place your roll ups on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool a few minutes before serving with pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

If your dough doesn't have eight triangles, don't sweat it. You'll still do everything the same, just using less cheese and pepperoni overall. More for snacking later.
