Have you ever tried to use kitchen witchcraft to bring a little more money into your life? This prosperity spice mix, aka pumpkin spice, is just what you need. Sprinkle it into all your bakes this fall to call in a bit of magick.

    Prosperity Spice with text

As soon as I started looking into witchcraft and learned that kitchen magick was a thing, I was hooked. Every ingredient you cook with holds a special energy that can be called on to help you manifest your intention. Each plant has a unique vibration that can lend its energy in its own way. And the act of cooking in and of itself is a transmutation bringing beneficial energy literally into your body. How awesome is that?

Since it's pumpkin season, I know a lot of you will be baking pumpkin spice everything. But did you know that most of the spices found in a common pumpkin spice blend carry the energy of abundance and prosperity? That's right. Your pumpkin muffins are not only delicious, but all those spices can invite prosperity into your life.

    Prosperity Spice Ingredients

    • Allspice - In addition to its association with money drawing, allspice is also known for bringing good fortune, healing, and uplifting. It can give added power and positive energy to any spell.
    • Cinnamon - A powerhouse of kitchen witchcraft, cinnamon can bring prosperity as well as love, passion, personal strength, and psychic awareness. Use it as a blessing for yourself and your home.
    • Ginger - This fiery spice brings prosperity as well as romance, passion, and power. It can be used to speed up any spell.
    • Nutmeg - Along with prosperity, nutmeg can help with good fortune, love, and psychic power.

It's worth mentioning that pumpkin itself is a symbol of abundance, so your pumpkin bakes are a magnet for prosperity.

    How to Make Prosperity Spice

Yes, you could definitely just dump a bunch of spices into a jar and stir them up. But if you want to add a little more power to your prosperity spice, you can turn it into a ritual. Start by gathering all your materials. This includes the spices, the measuring spoon or cup, and the jar or container you'll store your spice in. You'll want to energetically cleanse everything before you get started. Since we're working with food, I prefer to sound cleanse with a bell rather than use smoke. I don't want any ashes falling in my spice mix. You could also use crystals or visualization to cleanse your materials.

Give yourself a moment to ground and raise your energy in your preferred way. Cast a circle if you like. The most important thing is that as you add each ingredient to the jar, you set your intention for that ingredient and tell it what you want it to do for you. Be as specific as possible while still leaving space for guidance from the universe. Add your own energy to the mix as you tip in each ingredient. You can shake or stir the ingredients together. If you stir it, you may want to stir in a clockwise motion for attraction.

Once you have all your ingredients in the jar, hold the jar in your hands and visualize what you want from the spell. You can charge it further by leaving the jar on top of a selenite disc or placing a crystal on top of the jar. I'd suggest a prosperity crystal such as green aventurine, or a classic clear quartz. Each time you use the spice mix, remember to take a deep breath and call on its energy to bring prosperity into your life.

    How to Use

You can use this prosperity spice mix anywhere that calls for pumpkin spice or a similar mix of spices. Pretty much anything with pumpkin, but also just general spice cakes would work. Try it with your apple pie or sprinkled into sweet potatoes.

Beyond cooking, you could also use this in other spell work. Add it to a prosperity spell jar, sprinkle a little in your wallet or the cash register of your business. Sprinkle some in front of the threshold to your home or use it to dress a candle. It can help to amplify any prosperity spell work you may be doing.

This would also make a lovely gift for your witchy friends for Samhain, Yule, or beyond. Tie a nice green ribbon around it for prosperity and share the money love.

If you're ready to try it in a few recipes, consider these:

    • Pumpkin Scones
    • Caramel Pumpkin Cheesecake
    • Pumpkin Cake
    • Pumpkin Pancakes
    • Mini Chocolate Cinnamon Croissants (substitute your prosperity spice for the cinnamon)
    • Double Glazed Chai Spice Muffins
    • No-Bake Double Layer Pumpkin Pie
    • Mini Pumpkin Cheesecakes
    • Baked Sweet Potato Brulee
    • Pumpkin Spice Gooey Butter Cake
    • Spice Cupcakes with Maple Frosting
    • Winter-Spiced Flourless Chocolate Cake
    • Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins
Prosperity Spice in jar with wooden spoon

You deserve to live a prosperous and abundant life, and a little prosperity spice mix can help you out with that. And it will make your life more delicious, so that's pretty awesome all on its own. I'm wishing you prosperity, joy, and happy baking, kids.
