For rose syrup:

  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dried rose petals*

For the cocktail:

  • 1/2 ounce (1 tablespoon) rose syrup, chilled
  • 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) gin, chilled
  • 4 ounces (1/2 cup) fizzy lemonade, chilled

Instructions

For the rose syrup:

  1. Add water, sugar, and rose petals to a small sauce pan and cook over low heat for about 10 minutes. Turn the heat off and let the mixture cool, allowing the rose petals to steep in the syrup.
  2. Strain the syrup into a jar or bottle and put it in the fridge.

For the cocktail:

  1. Add the rose syrup and gin to a cocktail glass. Top up with fizzy lemonade.

Notes

*Be sure your rose petals are food safe. Choose rose meant for tea to be on the safe side.
