We've got a bit of a mix for our September Five Day Meal Plan to get us through those days where the weather is a bit unpredictable. We've got some Autumn flavors and some end of summer bounty. It's gonna be awesome.
What's for dinner?
The internet tells me that tomatoes are still in season in September, so I think we should make this Vegan Tomato Curry with Coconut Rice for meatless Monday. It's too pretty to pass up and totally doable on a weeknight.
Now that we're all back to school, let's have some classic comfort food. Sloppy Joes made from scratch in your own kitchen are much tastier than whatever the lunch lady was serving.
Summer corn is hopefully still happening, so it's the perfect time to make this Cheddar Corn Soup. It's cheesy and just a tiny bit spicy. Serve it with some crusty bread.
I think we might still be wanting to cook on the grill, but also not as afraid to turn on the oven. This is the perfect time for a Mitraillette. A juicy lamb burger on a baguette with a fat pile of French fries.
If you have a garden and are wondering what to do with your late summer harvest, maybe make up some Whipped Feta on Toast and add all that abundance right on top.
What else are we eating?
I love pancakes and bacon, so I just put them both together. Bacon Pancakes are totally awesome.
This Apple Brandy Frozen Punch is the perfect transition from summer to fall. It'll keep you cool and get you into that autumn apple-picking mood.
Make a lovely little Madeira Cake and serve it with some fresh summer berries and cream.
