Bring people within close proximity, and put something delicious in the middle of them, and you'll instantly see people relax and lighten up.

What makes this Sour Cream & Chive Dip so awesome?
This Homemade Sour Cream & Chive Dip is a classic. Yes, you could get this store bought, but making it yourself means that you have total control, and you know exactly what's in it. You can add extra of your favorite flavors, and if you're a kitchen witch, you can also infuse it with your desired intention.
But this is so simple, it's barely more effort than opening up a plastic tub. Make the effort for this creamy, brightly acidic, lightly oniony dip. Serve it with anything crunchy. Potato chips are obviously a classic, but crunchy veg like carrots, celery, or bell peppers would also be awesome. Whatever makes you happy. And definitely have people to share it with, or you'll end up eating it all by yourself. It's that good.
Magical Properties of Chives
Chives were once used as a form of divination by throwing the blades into the air while thinking of your question, then interpreting the way they fall. Today they're more commonly used to bring balance to your magic and strengthen and speed up spells. They're also commonly used to ward off negativity. Call in color magic and use the green shoots for abundance and prosperity, while saving the purple blossoms for spiritual connection. (Source: Soul and Spirit Magazine)

Tips for making Sour Cream & Chive Dip
This recipe is ridiculously simple. It's literally dump and stir. The main tip is to taste and see if you want to make any adjustments to suit your personal taste. That's kind of the point of making it homemade, aftar all.
Add your cream cheese and mayo to a bowl, and whisk to combine. Cut your chives with scissors to make your life easy. And on the subject of ease, I used a garlic paste here, but if you want to use fresh garlic, you can chop it finely or grate it in with a zester. You'll also want a splash of lemon juice to punch up the acidity even further. Then season with salt and pepper, and you're good to go.
Serve with lots of crunchy things and store leftovers (unlikely but you neve know) in an air tight container in the fridge. It will keep for a few days.
Call your pals over, gather them around a bowl of Homemade Sour Cream & Chive Dip and watch what happens. It's gonna be awesome.
