  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of cinnamon


  1. Add your eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon to a shallow pan like an 8x8 inch baking pan. Whisk to combine.
  2. Preheat a skillet over medium low heat. Add a bit of oil or butter to prevent sticking.
  3. When your pan is hot, dip your bread on both sides into the egg mixture. If your bread is very dry, you may want to let it soak for a while.
  4. Transfer your eggy bread to a hot skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until as brown as you like.
  5. Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
