These Spice Cupcakes with Maple Frosting are perfectly sweet and so full of gorgeous Fall flavors. The tender spiced cake is topped with a gorgeous buttercream with a hint of maple syrup. These are most definitely awesome.
I love working with spices in witchcraft because they create such a deeply sensual experience. Whether you're crunching whole spices with a mortar and pestle of sprinkling cinnamon powder in the flame of a candle, the tactile experience is brilliant. But most evocative is the scent of the spices. Our sense of smell is most closely tied to our memories, so the aroma immediately brings up key emotions that can help bring your manifestations to life.
Beyond cooking, I love to use spices to create loose incense or for tea magic. My favorite though, is to use them in spell jars. Creating layers of brightly colored spice powdered is like making extra powerful sand art. They're so beautiful.
What makes Spice Cupcakes with Maple Frosting so awesome?
These Spice Cupcakes are tender and so delicious. With a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and ginger, these cakes are powerfully flavored and just the right blend of sugar and spice. Plus, the creamy maple buttercream frosting brings the perfect balance. I think they're the perfect Autumn cupcake.
Make these for your Mabon feast or bake them for a friend's birthday. Take them on an Autumn picnic, or have some as a treat with a chai latte or a hot chocolate after apple picking. Or just stand over the sink on a Tuesday afternoon and eat one all by yourself because you don't need an excuse to do something that makes you super happy. This is a high vibe cupcake, my friends. Just go for it.
Magical Properties of Nutmeg
Nutmeg is amongst the prosperity spices, but it can more than just draw in money. It can also be used to boost your psychic abilities along with calling in happiness and love. Try adding some freshly grated nutmeg to a loose incense to burn while meditating or practicing divination.
One old spell suggests drilling a hold through a nutmeg and stringing it onto a green thread along with a few other roots and herbs. You can then hang this charm over the entrance to your business to attract more customers.
