Do you ever have days where you feel like you're having to dig deep into the bowels of the earth to find the energy to accomplish something? Even something that you know will be simple. Something that you usually enjoy. Do you have days where just moving off the couch seems impossible? I'm feeling that now.
I'm writing this at the end of my first day back at work after the Christmas break. No amount of tea seems to be enough to kindle my motivation. I just keep telling myself to write one more sentence. How could I be so tired after just one day that mainly consisted of me sitting on my couch sending emails? Maybe I should have had a smoothie instead of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch.
How to make a Strawberry Banana Smoothie
One of the thing that puts me off making smoothies (besides my fruit and vegetable aversion) is that most recipes include a long list of ingredients, usually including some type of expensive protein powder or other nutritional supplement that I can't be bothered with. This Strawberry Banana Smoothie is pure simplicity, and that's what makes it so brilliant.
All you need to do is chop up a banana and a few strawberries and pop then in a blender. Then add about ½ cup of apple juice just to make it a drinkable consistency. Then blend until smooth. This works just as well with frozen fruit, so you can have it any time of year. I know, it hardly counts as a recipe. Don't let that stop you.
Make it magical
Strawberries are covered in tiny seeds, so it should be no surprise that they symbolise fertility. They're full of loving, feminine energy with water as their element. They can also help you overcome barriers and solve problems in a loving way. And remember, fertility in a magical sense is not limited to pregnancy. Call in the energy of strawberries any time you want to be more creative. (Source: Plentiful Earth)
