    Strawberry Basil Balsamic Dutch Baby

This Strawberry Basil Balsamic Dutch Baby is aromatic, acidic, and sweet. With fresh fruit and herbs served on a deliciously crisp and light oven pancake, this brunch dish is definitely awesome.

I love how witchcraft can be so unexpected. From the outside, it seems like something dark, mysterious, and even dangerous. But once you're in it, you discover it can bring so much joy and light to your life. In the movies, magick seems so complicated with precise ingredients, complex symbols, or specific words. But once you start practicing, you realize none of that matters. It's just about declaring your intention and focusing your energy. Everything else is just icing on the cake.

And as much as I love comfort food, I also love a plate with something a bit unexpected as well. A pop of acid or a surprise burst of heat or a punch of salt where you didn't think it would be can really make a dish sing. A pleasant surprise is always a beautiful thing.

What makes this Strawberry Basil Balsamic Dutch Baby so awesome?

Of course, Italians have always known that strawberries, fresh basil, and sharp balsamic vinegar go together. But if this combo sounds surprising to you, just trust me. It's incredible. The strawberries can macerated in a bit of sugar to bring out their sweetness. The balsamic gets reduced down until it's almost sweet and syrupy. And the basil adds a burst of freshness that lightens the whole experience.

And of course this is served on top of a delicious blank canvas, and Dutch Baby pancake. I love the idea of a Dutch Baby for a brunch party because you can easily feed four to six people with just one thing that goes in the oven rather than standing over a griddle for ages flipping regular pancakes. And it's so gorgeous, light and crispy. You really can't go wrong.

    Magical Properties of Strawberries

Strawberries are all about that perfect moment of pleasure. When you find a perfectly ripe berry, warmed by the sun, and you eat it straight off the vine, that's the energy you can call in when you use this fruit in your witchcraft. Tied to the element of water and the planet Venus, strawberries can be used to call in abundance, healing, and romance. (Source: The Kitchen Witch's Guide to Healing & Self-Care by Maggie Haseman)
