What to Eat in Pisces Season

Falling at the end of winter, Pisces season can seem a bit bleak and unspiring. But watery Pisces is mystical and romantic, and it's corresponding foods can be truly awesome.

What to eat in Pisces season with images of food.

As Pisces season closes out the astrological year, many of us are seeing still seeing harsh weather and freezing temperatures. Our ancestors would have seen food stores running low, and some cultures, including the Baha'i faith, are fasting at this time of year.

But Pisces energy is harmonious and emotional, associated with water, and the sea. This energy is all about romance, art, and beauty. It's a great time to keep warm and get creative.

    Pisces Season Foods

Naturally, for Pisces season, you might want to celebrate all the delicious foods of the sea. Unfortunately, I'm not much of a fish and seafood person. In fact, we only eat fish maybe a few times a year, and other than putting some fish fingers in the oven, I never cook it. Fish that are in season right now include clams, halibut, lobster, and salmon.

But there are a few other foods corresponded with Pisces as well, and I truly enjoy eating them.

Fig trees are corresponded with the sign of Pisces. The fruit brings the energy of luck, abundance, seduction, and fertility. Let's enjoy it in the form of jam and cheese.

    • Fig Jam & Smoked Gouda Grilled Cheese
    • Fig Jam, Crispy Prosciutto & Brie Grilled Cheese

Raspberries bring us the properties of fertility, love, and protection with strong feminine, water energy.

    • White Chocolate Peppermint Cheesecake

    Water Foods

Pisces is the wateriest of water signs, taking us deep into our feelings. Lots of foods correspond with water, so we have a great selection if we work with the element of Pisces.

Beer is corresponded to three elements, but water is one of them. Make this Whole Wheat Guinness Soda Bread to call in prosperity, protection, and purification.

Coconuts are filled with water and associated with purification and protection. Add flavor to a basic side dish with this Coconut Basmati Rice.

Cucumbers are associated with beauty, healing, and fertility. Go full on water energy with this Cucumber Lemon Mint Infused Water.

Romantic rose is corresponded with water and brings in strong love vibes. Make yourself a lovely little Rose Quartz Cocktail.

Rum surprisingly holds the energy of clarity and strength, which is not usually how it makes me feel. Try this Rum and Gingeer Beer with a twist of lime and see how that magic works for you.

Honey is a gift from nature and brings the energy of happiness, love, prosperity, and healing.

    What's in season for Pisces

We may think we don't have many options here since it's the dead of winter, but Pisces season offers us some imported tropical fruits along with some reliable staples to see us through the winter.

Tropical pineapple is a fruit of hospitality and welcome. I'd feel welcome if you made me a Gammon Steak with Pineapple Salsa.

Pomegranates are mythical and beautiful connecting us to our inner wisdom and symbolizing death and rebirth. I apparently prefer to experience pomegranate in a cocktail.

    • Pomegranate Margarita
    • Ginger Pomegranate Cocktail
    • Pomegranate Martini

Passion fruits definitely seem like something that belong in a witch's kitchen. And while things may be pretty barren here in Scotland, we are able to get fresh tropical fruits like this, so take advantage of them while you can.

    • Passion Fruit Green Tea
    • Passion Fruit Victoria Sponge
    • Passion Fruit Margarita
    • Passion Fruit Curd

Bananas are keeping us going through the winter thanks to modern shipping. They can bring resilience through change along with wealth, luck, and spirituality.

    • Chocolate Banana Muffins

    • Leftover Turkey Enchiladas

Would we make it through winter without potatoes? I don't think I would. Potatoes bring a grounding energy, as well as protection and stability.

    • Indian Spiced Pea & Potato Wraps
    • Ham & Cheese Twice Baked Potatoes
    • Ridiculously Awesome Mashed Potatoes
    • Dill Potato Salad
    • Zuchinni & Potato Pancakes
