After love spells, prosperity spells might be the most common form of witchcraft. I've got some easy witchcraft spells for beginners to help you attract more abundance and prosperity.

The vast majority of us probably don't have as much money as we'd really like a lot of the time, and our ancestors who used magic were often not the best resourced people in the community, either. It's no wonder, then, that there are so many spells for prosperity and money drawing.

While money is rarely at the root of our deepest desires, it is often required to get us where we want to be in life. As magic is a tool of need, and often what we need in the short term is money, hundreds of spells have been created over the ages to help us get it.

What is prosperity magic?

Prosperity magic is all about increasing our material wealth. You'll sometimes see abundance spells or money drawing spells, but they all have the same end in mind. Often the intention is to attract actual cash or money in your bank account. Sometimes there's a specific material item in mind that you'd either like to manifest outright or attract the money for. All of this, as far as I'm concerned falls under the heading of prosperity magic.

It's important to remember that money, like magic, is a neutral tool, simply a form of energy. Your money mindset can have a big impact on the ease with which you attract money and material goods. There are lots of different spells that can help you call in money, but if deep down you believe that money is harmful in some way, it will be hard for you to keep it for long.

So enter into these spells free and clear, knowing that your actions will be aligned with your integrity. Set an intention that your spells are for the highest good of all, and remember that the energy you put out is reflected back to you. If you're right with yourself, there's nothing to worry about.

Intention & Energy

The simplest prosperity spells require no materials at all. You can use simple intention setting and visualization to help you attract the money you desire. Be specific enough in the amount that you need. If you simply say I want more money, the Universe may offer you a penny on the sidewalk and consider the job done. But also stay open to receiving more than what you asked for. Can't hurt.

Try writing down your intention as a positive statement in the present tense. A deadline for the money arriving might help focus your mind as well. For example, "I am so grateful for the extra $200 in my bank account by Tuesday." Then visualize that money arriving in your account, and focus on how good it will feel to have that money. Visualize what you'll spend the money on and how that will make you feel Then release the intention to the Universe, believing that it is already done, and hold onto that good feeling of having the money with the utter confidence that it will manifest.

Creating the belief in your intention is at the core of any spell, so get clear with the Universe on what you want, and trust that it will arrive.

Prosperity Crystals

Carrying crystals or placing them around your space is a super simple spell. You can simply cleanse and charge the crystal with your intention, and every time you see it, you know that it's working with you to attract that money. Use your intuition to choose a crystal that feels right to you, or select some of the prosperity crystals from the list below.

Charm Bags & Spell Jars

Making a prosperity charm bag or spell jar is fun and easy. Simply fill your bag or jar with money attracting materials. Use some of the crystals from above along with some of the herbs below. You can also add objects that symbolize prosperity to you. Maybe some coins or a picture of the object you want to buy.

Once the items are added, close the bag or jar and carry it with you or put it somewhere that you'll see it often to remind you of your intention and keep you focused on taking inspired action toward attracting the money.

Bath Magic for Prosperity

Bath magic is ideal for really soaking up the energy of what you want to attract. If you don't have a bathtub, you can always modify the spell for the shower.

You can craft bath salts, bath oil, or a simple herbal infusion to add to your bath using the herbs and crystals mentioned above. If you have the essential oil versions of some of the herbs, those work great.

Simply add the ingredients for your spell to your bath and allow yourself to soak up the prosperity energy. If you're using a shower, you can rub yourself down with the salts or oils or simply pour the infusion over your body.

Then you'll be walking around all day like a money magnet.

Here's a basic recipe for a salt scrub that can be used in the shower or bath.

Candle Magic

Using candles is a very accessible form of witchcraft. Incorporate color magic along with the herbs and crystals we talked about. Green candles are most common for prosperity magic because of its association with abundant plant life. Carve the amount of money you want or symbols for currency into your candle. Rub them with oils and herbs to draw in money, and focus on your intention as the candle burns down, releasing your desires to the Universe.

Money Bowl

A money bowl is a classic prosperity spell. This is best for helping you attract money in the long term as the bowl can be "fed" with more materials and offerings at regular intervals.

You'll need a bowl, green is nice, and some of the herbs and crystals from above. You can also add in some actual money to feed the bowl. Maybe some spare change along with one or two larger bills. Each time you pass the bowl, you can give thanks for the money you already have and all the money that's coming your way. If you're ever desperate for a bit of cash, it's okay to take the money from the bowl, but try to put it back once you have more.
